Author Joseph Fram has passed away

Another of our authors passed away this year. Joseph Fram, author of the 8-book poetry series “Joseph’s Journey,” went home to be with our Lord in July at age 89, after a long battle with cancer. He shared many of his struggles in his poems, along with his witty sense of humor. He is greatly missed by all of us.

Happy Easter!

This weekend, we celebrate the rising of our Lord and Savior, Jesus!

From all of us at Everlasting Publishing, we hope and pray you make the most of this wonderful day, reflecting on what Jesus did for us, when He took our sins to Calvary, died for us, and then He proved that He is who He says He is, the Son of God, by rising from the dead. Has anyone else done so much for you?

God bless you. We hope you have a chance to connect with your family in some way, and share the love fo Jesus in every way you can.

This book is now available on Amazon.

Late Author Steven Lowell-Martin

We are still in shock over the sudden death of author Steven Lowell-Martin. He was so helpful, so cheerful and always had a kind and/or funny word about everything. We are in process of publishing his next book, which is a children’s book. Please continue  to keep his family in your prayers.

Steven’s three books

Steven’s non-fiction account of his experiences as a Seattle detective come alive in the revealing and sometimes funny book, Coptales. His other two books, Moses’ Chisel, an alternate history book, and Four Pounds of Pressure, a fictional crime story, are both intriguing novels. All three books are still available on Amazon.

Words of Encouragement from author Dana Pride

Today, Good Friday, is also my birthday.  We all must make adjustments, no party, no family gathering, no feeling sorry for myself.  Today I am thankful to be having another birthday.  I am praying for those who are sick right now, and those who have lost family members and friends to this terrible disease.

During this time, I am caring for my dad, who is at risk so he is not allowed to see anyone else. This means every time I leave his home to get groceries or for medical reasons, I must be very careful, distancing from other people, being careful what I touch, and washing up when I return to his home. No, this is not normal, but this is life at this time.

So I decided to take advantage of my time with Dad, my Quarantine Buddy, and cherish every moment we have together. He has cancer and he is in pain much of the time, but just being there with him, and not leaving him alone in his home is an encouragement to him and to me. We share memories, we laugh, we watch Westerns and Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy together. I try my best to get him to eat more (his doctor told him to eat as much as he wants!) and we discuss things besides this awful virus that is ravaging our world. We tell each other "I love you" often, and, most importantly, we pray together.

Enjoy your loved ones. Recall fond memories and make new ones. Let this be a time for prayer and family strength. Now would be a good time to start studying your Bible.

God Bless You,
Dana Pride

Today's words of encouragement are from author Steven Lowell-Martin, retired detective of Seattle Police Department

Many go free of the earth today and beyond, and we are puzzled as to why
The sun of their final day sets, dazzling in the cherished liberty thereof
The world will somehow heal from the passing, as it always has
We have no other choice
The sanctity of life remains, imprinted deeply by the shadows that death casts
We must always celebrate the radiance in the moment before endings, when granted a glimpse of heaven’s peace...
Note the warmth of the light’s moment, before the darkness grows near
We are set free of sadness in our remembering
The light will grow faint, yet remain a moment longer if willfully summoned
We therefore know that we are heard
The nightfall should not be feared, as it will soon renew the hope...
The silent shaded hillsides welcome another soul in unending gentle love
We draw solace together in an unspoken revelation…
That what is cloaked among all of us…
Cannot be lost.
Steven Lowell-Martin

We at Everlasting Publishing would like to share words of encouragement from our authors.

Today's words come from Bonnie Barrigar, author of "Up From My Abyss," "Teutonic Tales" and "Adventura Highway."

Hello everyone!  I know that these times of social distancing are hard on us all and that this Coronavirus is truly frightening.  I just want to remind you that this time more than ever is a time for all of us to lean on God and lean on each other.  How can we humans support each other now?   There are a number of ways. The more healthy and fit among us can buy groceries and run other errands for those who aren't.

Everyone can give words of encouragement to people through phone calls, the internet, and sending pretty cards.

We can make face masks for the brave people in the front lines of this battle -- doctors, nurses, and other health care workers, and send them words of encouragement and gratitude.  I just want to ensure everyone that I am staying healthy and well and so is my dog, Pepper.  I am  being careful to follow the new rules of staying on top of this crisis.  I am washing my hands frequently, avoiding crowds of more than ten people, keeping six feet between me and anyone I'm not with all the time, and staying in my apartment as much as I can.  I would gently advise everyone else to do the same. I am also gaining strength and safety through reading the word of the Lord.  Please keep in mind that while none of us should take unnecessary chances, it's wisest to respect, but not fear Old Knobby.  I call the Coronavirus "Old Knobby" because it looks like a round ball covered with knobs. But as scary and contagious as this thing is, God is more powerful. We all need to keep that in mind at this harrowing time.  In closing, want to share this Bible verse which is giving me courage to weather this pandemic. "The Lord will remove from you all sickness; and He will not put on you any of the harmful diseases of Egypt which you have known, but he will lay them on all who hate you."

Also, I want to mention that I am working on two novels.  One of them, Multnomah Falls, deals with how a lady FBI Agent called Amy Thomson (Agent 5) and her twin sister, Judith, who is a Virologist, uncover a plot by a secret cabal.  This cabal plan to use a super lethal virus in a bid to take down the population of the world so they can conquer it.  It is a fast-paced action thriller and will be out soon!

God Bless You All,
Bonnie Barrigar

We at Everlasting Publishing would like to share words of encouragement from our authors.

Today's words come from Pastor W.F. Pride, Jr., author of "God Wants You to Do His Will" and "Everyone Needs Jesus."

In times like these...

This is the day for all the world to pray the prayer Jesus gave to His disciples:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

This prayer is for us today. We are asking all people of every nationality all over the world to make this an hourly prayer in your homes, to make this prayer your prayer at this time.

Pray this prayer, not just one time, but throughout the day. Translate it into your own language, if necessary.

Let us love on each other with a virtual hug.
Pastor W.F. Pride, Jr.

Bonnie Barrigar shares her personal story in her latest book

A semi-biographical account of Bonnie's scary diagnosis and subsequent struggle with cancer, with a little humor and a lot of encouragement included in "Up From My Abyss."  In this short video, she discusses her book and more - she shares something else she creates.

February 2, 2020

It's February 2020 already!

We would like to suggest 2 of our newest books for your reading pleasure this month.
First, we have Bonnie Barrigar's "Up From My Abyss," which is our Featured Book of the Month!

In Bonnie's owns words: "Earlier this year I joined the ranks of a select army, that is, the army of persons, mostly women but a few men too, who are actively waging war against the onslaught of breast cancer. Though there many in our ranks, this fierce battle is always, nevertheless, a very private one and involves hard life and death choices. With the arsenal of modern medicine and strong faith in God, this war is winnable. Often, however, the cures are harsh and this ravaging foe brings to the front line emotional and mental as well as physical issues. But this is a war worth fighting and one which can, as I feel happened in my case, bring out hidden strengths in a person they never knew they had. Then too, though my cancer journey has been rough, the people I’ve met and the places I’ve been along the way have been truly fascinating and inspiring. I pray that anyone who reads this semi-fictional, semi-autobiographical account of my cancer battle and is fighting their own will be inspired to fight ‘til they win." Now available on Amazon.

If you are in the mood for a love story, how about 3 love stories in one?  Three shy men in love with the same woman, who just happens to be in a coma, finally are able to tell her how they feel - and they don't even know if she can hear them. "Coma Talk" by Dana Pride is now available on Amazon.

Or check out our other books at Everlasting Publishing.

Happy reading!

Make 2020 your best year!

We are nearly 2 weeks into the new year and the new decade, so this is a great time to select some great winter reading for the next few weeks.

We would like to recommend our latest book, Up From My Abyss by Bonnie Barrigar, a wonderful true story of bravery and encouragement.  Are you dealing with a cancer diagnosis, either your own or a loved one’s? Do you feel alone or isolated with your situation? Are you scared of your own future?

You are not alone. Bonnie Barrigar is among those who have experienced this same scary diagnosis last year, and she candidly shares her pain, fears, hopes and reactions in her semi-autobiographical, semi-fictional story, “Up from My Abyss.”

Now available in paperback and Kindle on Amazon: Up From My Abyss

We hope your new decade will be blessed!

Take time for your loved ones

Merry Christmas! On this day when we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we at Everlasting Publishing would like to remind you to give love to the special people in your life. Spend some time with them, on the phone if you can't be there in person.  A few words will go a long way on this special holiday.

Singing exuberantly, Sister Willa Dorsey announced, "Wasn't that a mighty day when Jesus Christ was born!"

God bless you and have a wonderful Christmas.  We'll be back in the next decade!  Woohoo for 2020!

December 9, 2019

Blessings to you!

Happy December! We are well into the final month of this decade... can you believe 2020 is merely weeks away?

We have great news! Bonnie Barrigar's latest book, "Up From My Abyss" will soon be released.  This is Bonnie's semi-autobiographical story of her cancer diagnosis, her fierce battle, her trust in God, and her triumph, which revealed her inner strength and faith.  This book is an encouragement to anyone who is also fighting this battle, and also to their loved ones.  "Up From My Abyss" will soon be available on our website as well as on Amazon.

We pray that you will spend some time with your loved ones this month, focusing on the gifts of God and family, rather than gifts under the tree.
