Remembering Sister Willa Dorsey
Our dear friend, Sister Willa Dorsey, has gone on to glory.
We are so thankful to have known her! Her music has inspired
us and revived our spirit so many times. She has been a
blessing
to our family and to our church congregation.
She first came to Everlasting in May 1990, and she sang for us, about 25 of us. She gave us the same performance she gave to presidents and kings around the world, starting with “Have Thine Own Way, Lord,” and finishing with “Come to Jesus.” She told us
she hadn't used her voice to become an opera singer because
she didn't want to sing about sorrow and death - she only
wanted to sing about life and joy and peace, all about Jesus.
